What is AVANGO?

AVANGO is a free software framework designed for interactive, distributed applications. It supports a large range of displays from standard desktop applications to large-scale immersive Virtual Reality installations. Its features include:

  • Support for distribution across multiple computers in a straightforward way
  • Integrated modules for running Virtual Reality displays (like device support, 3D menus and viewing setup)
  • Uses  OpenSceneGraph and  Python
  • Licensed under the  LGPL

AVANGO has already been used in many different projects projects.
